Hope Albu, CFP®

Service Advisor

I graduated from the George Washington University with a BA in Political Science in 2003 and returned to earn my Master’s in Accountancy in 2007. I spent over a decade in both public and corporate tax departments specializing in international and domestic tax. I started my career in Washington D.C. with public accounting firms like Alvarez and Marsal and RSM McGladrey. In 2010, I moved out to Colorado to be closer to my family and joined various corporate tax departments including UDR, Western Union and Johns Manville (a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway). My work included return preparation, global provision/SEC reporting, and tax consulting.

By 2019, I was ready to pursue my lifetime passion, financial planning. I joined Edward Jones as a financial advisor and then moved to Personal Capital in the same capacity. In both roles, I developed customized, comprehensive financial plans for clients based on their goals and financial positions. My work centered on all areas of planning including equity compensation, college planning, retirement analysis, holistic portfolio reviews and more. I enjoy learning about my clients personal situations and objectives as everyone is unique. I joined Peak in May 2021 as a Service Advisor where I will continue to help clients with their financial planning needs with an eye towards tax management.

Outside of Peak, my husband Dave and I are parents to two boys. We also have a dog named Murphy.
